OUR DAILY REFLECTION

TAKE TIME TO THINK 2
Text: Philippians 4:8

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Many are sinking in their situations today because they don’t think. The truth is you can think your way out of whatever situation you find yourself. In my dialect, thinking means ‘ronu’ and explaining that in English, it means ‘stir your mind.’ There are treasures in us that are waiting to be stirred or fanned to expression and one way to achieve this is by thinking.

Personally, I enjoy thinking and I practise this virtually everyday. You see, by experience, I have come to understand that whatever one thinks on grows or expands, whether good or bad. Thinking expands whatever you engage your mind on. No matter how small an idea is, you can think it to bigness.

Proverbs 23:7 says “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” This invariably means that whatever you think on sticks to you. If you think on happy moments, for example, you’ll be joyful but if you think on negative situations, you’ll soon end up sorrowing. If you can deliberately choose what to think on, you will be able to control what happens in your life.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
If you can deliberately choose what to think on, you’ll be able to control what happens in your life.

PRAY:
Father, please deliver me from all forms of anxiety in Jesus’ name.
