Text: Philippians 3:13

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.”

How many things have you encumbered yourself with that are now slowing you down or drawing you out of the race of life? To help him cope with his assignment and please God, Apostle Paul told us what he did – forgot what’s behind and reaching out to what’s before him.

Having analysed him, Jesus told the young man who asked for what he needed to do to inherit eternal life to do one thing – carry his cross and follow him after distributing all he has to others (Mark 10:17-21).

What’s the one thing you also have to do to remain relevant, connected to God or grow? Do you also have to forget your past, let go of worldly things and cling to the cross, practice complete obedience, or sacrifice comfort? You can prayerfully ask God to show you.

Men of one thing rarely loose sight of where they are going.

Whatever is hindering you from serving God or remain in your calling is uprooted now in Jesus’ name.
