ESSENTIALITY OF ABSTINENCE FROM PRE-MARITAL SEX

As designed by GOD, your virginity is the bed rock of your destiny. It is your spiritual beauty. It carries the star, potential and talent which GOD created with you to make you unique.
It is the star in your sky. Please do not pollute your destiny. The world is waiting for your star to shine!
Your body is the temple of GOD. Yeah, as HIS sons and daughters, HE lives in us. You are the carrier of GOD’s presence. The more reason you have to make your body sanctified (Holy).

Let me tell you the truth, your curiosity about sex and the way your body feels is normal. However, all you need to do is to condition your mind & calm your desires and flee from every thing that provokes your sexual desire. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says:

“Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.”

More importantly is that you do not let temptation catch up with you. To be tempted is not a sin but falling into it, is a sin.

Is the environment you find yourself so sexual, the channels on the Tv are showing nude contents? you have girls in the neighborhood dressing almost nude? your colleagues in the college are talking about how they engage in sex, your staff members have many concubines?
The truth is that the world is full of temptation of one thing or the other. So, what can you do?
What you can do: Be of good courage; Be careful not to fall off;
Call on the HOLY SPIRIT to help you; Guide your heart with the Words of GOD; Begin to communicate to GOD in spirit (Singing, Meditating the Word and Praying). 1 Corinthians 10:13 says:

“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. GOD is faithful, and HE will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation HE will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

Abstaining from pre-marital sex is so essential that, it is one of the attributes of a true son or daughter of GOD. A true child does the will of the Father.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 says:

“For this is the will of GOD, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in Holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the gentiles who do not know GOD”

OUR DAILY REFLECTION

PLATFORMS FOR MULTIPLICATION
Text: Matthew 6:33

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

How much is your investment in God’s kingdom worth? God does not owe and no matter how big a man’s investment into the Kingdom may be, He is capable of paying back.

John 6:5-13 tells us of a young boy who saw an opportunity to investment into God’s kingdom with his five loaves of bread and two fishes. After he turned all to Jesus to use, it is most likely he went home with the twelve baskets that were left behind. I am of the opinion that he must have begun a bakery business that same day.

How about Peter who let out his ship for Jesus’ use? The result was that a night of toiling without result was overturned with net breaking harvest (Luke 5:4-6). God will never return whatever you give out for His use the same, the return is always bigger and better than its initial state.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
God will never return whatever you give out for His use the same.

PRAY:
Lord, help me to partner with You all that I have and all that I am in Jesus’ name.

RELEASE YOUR MENTAL CAPACITY 2
Text: 3 John 1:2

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

How often do you engage your mind? The level to which you develop and engage it goes a long way to determine how productive you’ll become in life. Today’s Scripture tells us that there is a direct correlation between our prosperity in life and that of our mind.

Imagine Joseph, how he was able to preserve food items for a whole country so that while others were in famine, Egypt was in plenty (Gen 41:46-49). When Laban would have rendered Jacob empty, it was the productive use of Jacob’s mind that saved him and gave him an overnight wealth (Gen 31:4-10).

You and I can get all we want if only we’ll engage our mind. Where we are stocked in life is the point where we stop engaging our mind. The difference between the successful and the poor is nothing but the productive use of the mind. Even if opportunities are not forthcoming, you can create one by engaging your mind.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Our difference is not in our complexion or sex but our mental engagement.

PRAY:
I am delivered from every mental blockage hindering my productivity in Jesus’ name.
